Launch Email Offering a Free Trial Subscription to a Fitness App
Written in response to a challenge to write an email supporting a company I admired: DDPY (formerly DDP Yoga), a fitness system created by 3X World Champion Wrestler Diamond Dallas Page, to help disabled veterans and adults reclaim their lives. Because this was not a commissioned project, I changed the names to avoid confusion.
My contribution: Research and writing.
Lead Generation Funnel for a Training Webinar
This lead generation funnel is designed to capture leads for a former business consultant who plans to launch a series of online courses and one-on-one coaching sessions for small businesses.
My contributions: Marketing strategy, writing, and mockups of display ads and landing pages. Based on an exercise to rewrite an advertisement for graphic designers.
Marketing Campaign for New Mom Yoga Class
A hospital network works with yoga experts and a charitable foundation to develop a yoga class for new moms, in hopes the class will help new mothers lose their baby weight and avoid future health problems
My contributions: Expanded a blog assignment to create a marketing campaign, providing marketing strategy, writing, and mockups of display ads.
Email Marketing – Announcing the Launch of Rand McNally’s Online Store
As Senior Editor for Rand McNally’s New Media Division, I wrote the proposal for the store, coordinated production with a consulting company, and wrote promotional emails.
My contributions: Marketing strategy, research, production management, and writing.
Product Page for a Training Video
A training company generates another stream of income by selling books and videos from other publishers. This video helps new managers cope with workplace conflict.
My contribution: Created a transcript of the 45-minute video, wrote the product page, and created a mockup. Based on an editorial test, which led to a paid assignment.
Case Study About a Machine Learning Platform
The producer of a machine learning platform commissioned a series of case studies to demonstrate the platform’s versatility. In this case study, an online merchant of high-end clothing used the platform to duplicate the personal shopping experience and reduce the expense of size-related returns.
My contributions: Combining an interview transcript and product literature to create a case study, and mocking up the layout and design to facilitate review. Based on an editorial test.
