Services Tailored to You
One size does not fit all. That’s why I tailor my services to each client. Here’s an overview of services you can order separately or combine into a custom bundle. For example, you can combine a display ad, email sequence, and landing page to create a lead-generation funnel. If you don’t see the service you need, contact me!
Conversion Copywriting
Conversion copywriting is a type of persuasive writing that includes a Call to Action – a prompt that triggers a reader’s immediate, measurable response. On a website, this response usually involves clicking a button labeled “Learn More” or “Add to Cart.”
Website Pages
Every web page plays a role in convincing your anonymous reader to become a customer. It’s your headquarters on the internet, where you control the messages your visitors see.
- Home Page. Your home page is most important, because it’s your best chance to tell shoppers what you do, the problems you solve, and who you can help. If shoppers can’t grasp this information in less than 20 seconds, they may bounce away — never to return.
- Category Page. A category page is like a notebook divider that helps shoppers navigate your site and learn more about your business. Typically, every menu item on your site will lead to a category page.
- Website Product or Service Page. These pages list specific details about a product or service, with the goal of helping a shopper make a buying decision.
- Website Strategy and Planning. Don’t have a website? I can help you create a website strategy and a roadmap for the future. If you already have a site, I can help you plan new pages or update existing ones to maximize their selling power.
Display Ads
Want to stop the scroll and drive readers to a landing page? Then you need a display ad, made up of a compelling headline, pithy details, and a compelling call to action. Display ads come in a variety of sizes and formats and can be used online or offline to build brand awareness, discover target audiences, or promote products or services.
Landing Pages and Sales Pages
A landing page is a standalone web page that is designed to achieve a single, specific marketing goal, such as capturing a lead or making a sale. Typically, shoppers reach a landing page by clicking a call to action in an email or display ad. The landing page itself has no navigation — no clickable menus or headers — to keep the shopper focused on the key buying decision.
If your offer is complex or requires a significant investment of time and / or money (or both), your landing page should take the format of a sales page, a longer message that addresses a typical shopper’s questions and doubts.
Emails
Email is a powerful, cost-effective way to reach the individuals in your target audience. Current estimates are that email marketing returns $36 to $40 for every $1 spent. Email can deliver stand-alone messages, such as a temporary password and security procedures, or work as part of a sequence to promote an upcoming sale or event. If you are launching a webinar, for example, you might send a webinar invitation sequence, a show up sequence, and a promo sequence.
Website Strategy and Planning
If you don’t have a website, I can help you develop a strategy for launching with the essentials and a roadmap for future enhancements. If you already have a website but think it could perform better, I’ll analyze your site and suggest improvements.
Content Marketing
Content marketing is not new. Notable examples include Poor Richard’s Almanac, an annual publication Benjamin Franklin launched in 1792 to promote his printing business, and The Furrow, a magazine John Deere began publishing in 1895 to teach farmers how to increase profits by using modern practices and equipment.
The essential goals remain the same:
- To nurture your relationship with shoppers by providing authoritative, accurate, and useful information at every stage of the buyer’s journey.
- To build loyalty by providing support and tips for getting more value from a purchase. For example, an air fryer manufacturer might publish a newsletter filled with recipes.
Blog Posts
Blog posts are a popular way to nurture your relationship with shoppers at the top, middle, and bottom of the funnel. Plus, you can place a “more info” display ad at the end of any blog to pull readers into a lead generation funnel. An ideal publishing schedule is one to three times a week, but few companies can keep up – without outside help.
Case Studies
In the B2B world, prospects look to their colleagues for guidance, especially when they are making major purchases. That’s why B2B shoppers welcome a case study (aka a “success story”) that shows how you’ve helped a customer just like them.
White Papers
A white paper is an in-depth report designed to analyze a complex industry problem and evaluate evidence-based solutions. In itself, the white paper is not a sales pitch. Instead, it shows your company can provides thought leadership and helps readers apply the information to their own ventures. Because the white paper presents exceptionally valuable information, it is “gated” or hidden behind an opt-in form that requires at minimum a name and email address. When readers complete the opt-in form, they become new leads for your company.
Press Releases
It is exciting to plan social media campaigns and paid advertisements, but it is important to remember the power of a press release. A press release is an official statement your company can send to local, regional, and national news outlets. If the press release is interesting and timely, you will usually earn some free publicity for a new product, service, or company event.
Newsletters
A newsletter is a report or update you regularly deliver to a list of subscribers. Like a blog, a newsletter is a good way to nurture your relationship with your audience. The newsletter can contain several short articles or one longer article. Any issue can include an ad, as long as you also deliver useful information to your readers.
Editing
Almost every written document can benefit from some level of editing. After a few revisions, it’s easy to become “blind” to awkward wording, non sequiturs, missing content, or basic grammar errors. I’m comfortable with every level of editing, ranging from developmental editing to line editing.
Content Audits and Content Strategy
Not getting the clicks and conversions you expected from your site’s content? A content audit is a diagnostic tool that helps you see your site with fresh eyes and plan corrective updates. Launching a new site or marketing campaign? A content strategy will help support your other marketing and sales efforts.

"…I personally appreciate your reliability. Not many of the freelance writers I've worked with would be willing to track down elusive information, follow leads (who sometimes don't want to be followed), and keep me updated on material they've already send in.…"
