Lead-Generation Sales Funnel for a Business Coach
A lead-generation sales funnel is one of the most powerful tools in digital marketing. The concept is not new. If you’ve ever shopped for a house, a car, or a major appliance, you may have entered a sales funnel, a sales process that aims to streamline your “customer journey” from idle browser to committed buyer.
In digital marketing lead generation, your first goal is to offer a useful and valuable “freebie” that is so tantalizing prospects will give you their contact information. By providing contact information, these potential customers are giving you permission to send additional marketing messages.
In this case, the client did not have a list and chose to use online ads to announce his offer. The lead generation sales funnel is made up of three basic parts:
- Display ads, emails, texts, reels, or videos that send potential customers to a landing page.
- A landing page that provides more compelling details, as well as an opt-in form that captures contact information.
- Confirmation pages, emails, and texts that either deliver the promised freebie or confirm details of the online seminar.
This sample provides two display ads and two alternatives for a landing page.

Alternate Landing Pages
Sometimes it’s hard to tell which version of a landing page will be most effective. In A-B testing, the web page randomly displays two versions of the landing page, so that you can actually measure which version gets the most responses.
